    The Red Rocks Amphitheatre offers 9,450 sets for concerts, films and other events. This unique outdoor theater is the only naturally occurring, acoustically perfect amphitheatre in the world and has played host to a range of national and international musical acts since it opened as a theater in 1941. Today, visitors can enjoy a full calendar of concerts and events surrounded by stunning geological formations.


    Outdoor Activities at Red Rocks Park

    Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre is a favorite destination for hiking, biking and picnicking. Visitors can enjoy the 868-acre park, which offers everything from a leisurely stroll to a challenging hike on two trails that run through the park. The 1-½ mile long Trading Post Trail takes visitors past spectacular rock formations, through scenic valleys and into a natural meadow. The Red Rocks Trail is a 6-mile loop trail open for hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. The trail splits to reach either Matthews-Winters Park or the Dakota Ridge Trail. Outdoor exercise enthusiasts will also enjoy the abundant stairs, benches and high altitude that offers a challenging workout for every age and activity level.
