Visit Mount Evans
The Mount Evans Scenic Byway is usually opened on Memorial Day weekend, once the road has been plowed. Once opened, the road is open 24 hours per day, every day. The road to Summit Lake is generally opened before the last five miles to the Mount Evans summit is opened. The last five miles of the road is closed for the season after Labor Day. Entrance fee is $10 per vehicle, $3 for bicyclists or hikers, and entrance passes are valid for three days.
